Target intelligence / Profile preview
TLC domain-containing protein 4 (TLCD4) is a predicted transmembrane protein localized primarily to membranes such as the endoplasmic reticulum, and is postulated to be involved in lipid homeostasis. There is little evidence supporting its role as a direct therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter. Mutations in TLCD4 have been associated with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. No drugs, biomarkers, or established therapeutic relevance currently exist for TLCD4[1][3][7].
