TLE family member 7 (TLE7) is one of the seven mammalian members of the transducin-like enhancer of split (TLE) protein family, homologous to Drosophila Groucho, and functions as a transcriptional corepressor. TLE proteins do not directly bind DNA but interact with transcription factors to repress the expression of target genes. While the function of TLE7 itself is currently poorly characterized and its expression is minimal compared to other family members, the TLE family as a whole is implicated in the regulation of developmental processes, tumor suppression and oncogenesis depending on cellular context, and modulation of immune responses. TLE7 is predicted to be active in the nucleus and involved in the negative regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway[1][4][5][6]. No direct evidence was found that TLE7 is currently a therapeutic target or that any drug directly targets it.
