The existence of “TMEM30B pseudogene 1” is documented in genome annotation, but it is not considered a canonical target in pharmacology or biomedical research[4]. Confusion may arise if TMEM30BP1 is mistaken for the functional TMEM30B gene product (CDC50B), which is a membrane protein and not a pseudogene[1][2][3].
