TMEM41A divergent transcript (TMEM41A-DT; lnc-MAP3K13-3:1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed in the vicinity of the TMEM41A gene, annotated as a "divergent transcript"[1]. Unlike TMEM41A, the associated protein, TMEM41A-DT does not encode a protein. Its sequence, regulatory properties, and role remain largely uncharacterized in the current literature. By gene ontology, most lncRNAs function through binding DNA, RNA, or proteins, thereby modulating chromatin structure, gene expression, or acting as molecular scaffolds, although the specific function of TMEM41A-DT is unknown[5]. There is no evidence that TMEM41A-DT is a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any classical druggable target. TMEM41A-DT has not been linked directly to disease mechanisms, biomarker status, or pharmacology.
