Target intelligence / Profile preview
TNFRSF10A divergent transcript (TNFRSF10A-DT, LOC389641, PLACT1) is a cytoplasm-localized long noncoding RNA located head-to-head with TNFRSF10A (Death receptor 4) on the human genome[1]. Although little is known about its precise mechanisms, overexpression of TNFRSF10A-DT increases cell death under stress and can regulate necroptotic and inflammatory signaling pathways independently of TNFRSF10A expression[1]. Its dysregulation is implicated in the progression of several cancers (including pancreatic cancer), age-related macular degeneration, and alterations in necroptosis and inflammation. The transcript is not known to be a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or traditional drug target, but likely acts through post-transcriptional and/or protein-interacting roles in the cytoplasm[1]. Please note: TNFRSF10A-DT should not be confused with the protein-coding TNFRSF10A (Death receptor 4, DR4, TRAIL-R1), which is a known therapeutic protein target[1]. Key information is based on referenced genomic investigation and functional studies[1][2]. No drugs currently act on this lncRNA transcript, and its use as a biomarker or therapeutic target remains largely research-based.
