Overview

TP53-target gene 3 protein (TP53TG3E) is one of several paralogs induced by the action of the tumor suppressor gene TP53 (which encodes p53), a key transcription factor in cell cycle regulation, DNA damage response, and apoptosis. The TP53TG3 gene family (including TP53TG3A, B, C, D, E, F) encodes small proteins with no well-characterized domains, motifs, or described molecular function. There is no experimental data linking TP53TG3E to specific biological pathways, molecular interactions, or disease mechanisms, and it is not considered a classical therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor[4]. Because of the lack of functional annotation, absence from disease association studies, and lack of evidence of drug interactions, TP53TG3E is not recognized as a standard therapeutic target or a biomarker, and there is insufficient information for further pharmacological evaluation. If you require information about p53 itself as a target (the TP53 gene/protein), extensive data is available, but for "TP53 target 3 family member E," the evidence base is very limited.
