TPM4 pseudogene 2 (TPM4P2) is a pseudogene that shares high sequence similarity with the functional tropomyosin 4 (TPM4) gene, but does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes are generally considered non-coding genomic elements and are not known to have direct biological activity, act as therapeutic targets, or play a recognized role in disease pathology or drug interaction. No evidence supports TPM4P2 as a protein, receptor, enzyme, or biologically relevant molecule itself for direct therapeutic targeting[6]. TPM4P2 is a pseudogene, not a protein, enzyme, transporter, receptor, or other canonical drug target. It is not considered a therapeutic target and is not known to be involved in any documented medical or therapeutic interventions. There is no evidence from search results or the scientific literature that TPM4P2 has biological functions, roles in disease, drug interactions, or use as a biomarker. The related TPM4 gene (tropomyosin 4) is functionally important and involved in cytoskeletal regulation, muscle contraction, and various disease contexts including cancer and thrombocytopenia[1][2][3][4][5]. However, TPM4P2 does not encode any of these functions. TPM4 pseudogene 2 is a processed pseudogene with no evidence as an active gene product or therapeutic target. It is not relevant for drug targeting or disease mechanisms under current genomic and biomedical knowledge.
