TPM4 pseudogene 3 (TPM4P3) is a nonfunctional genomic sequence derived from the TPM4 gene, which codes for a member of the tropomyosin family of actin-binding proteins involved in cytoskeletal structure and muscle contraction. Unlike TPM4, TPM4P3 is classified as a pseudogene, lacks protein-coding potential, and is not considered a therapeutic target or biomarker. References to TPM4P3 in the literature may sometimes be mistaken for the functional gene (TPM4), which plays significant roles in cancer biology, cell migration, and cytoskeletal regulation. No evidence supports any direct biological role, disease association, or druggability for TPM4P3 itself.
