Target intelligence / Profile preview
TPT1 pseudogene 7 (TPT1P7) is a putative processed pseudogene corresponding to the parental gene TPT1, which encodes tumor protein, translationally-controlled 1 (TCTP). Pseudogenes like TPT1P7 generally do not encode a functional protein product, and there is no evidence that TPT1P7 itself has a direct biological function or disease relevance, nor is it recognized as a therapeutic target. Most functional and disease-related data pertain to the parental gene TPT1, not its pseudogenes. No known drugs interact with TPT1P7, and it is not considered a clinical biomarker or risk factor.
