Trafficking protein particle complex subunit 14 (TRAPPC14), also known as microtubule-associated protein 11 (MAP11), is a subunit of the TRAPPII multiprotein complex that plays a specialized role in intracellular membrane trafficking, particularly late Golgi transport and ciliogenesis. TRAPPC14 mediates the trafficking of preciliary vesicles to the mother centriole and is involved in cell population proliferation and alpha-tubulin binding. TRAPPC14 is dispensable for TRAPPII complex integrity but is necessary for Rabin8-mediated ciliation. Mutations in TRAPPC14 have been implicated in autosomal recessive microcephaly[1][2][3][4][5][7][9].
