Overview

Transcription elongation factor A N-terminal and central domain-containing protein (TCEANC) is a nuclear protein encoded by the TCEANC gene (UniProt Q8N8B7) and is predicted to regulate gene expression by modulating transcriptional elongation mediated by RNA polymerase II[3][5][8][10]. The protein is classified as a transcription factor due to its domain architecture and nuclear localization, but specific molecular functions and drug interactions remain uncharacterized. There are no current drugs known to target TCEANC, and it is not reported as a therapeutic target. Genetic alterations in TCEANC are associated with Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome, type 2, but its broader disease associations and role in pathophysiology are unclear[3]. The gene is found in human (chromosome X), mouse, and other mammalian orthologs[4][9].
