Transcription factor RelB is a member of the NF-κB family of transcription factors, playing a central role in regulating immune and inflammatory responses. It primarily functions within the non-canonical NF-κB signaling pathway, forming heterodimers with p52 to regulate gene expression involved in lymphoid organogenesis and immune cell trafficking. Deficiencies or mutations in RELB are associated with immunodeficiency disorders and multiorgan inflammation. It is expressed predominantly in interdigitating dendritic cells within lymphoid tissues.
