Transcription factor SPT20 homolog-like 2 (SUPT20HL2) is a putative, predicted protein coding gene in humans, sharing similarity with the SAGA complex component SPT20 (SUPT20H), a known transcriptional coregulator within the SAGA complex involved in chromatin modification and RNA polymerase II transcription[4]. SUPT20HL2 is predicted to enable transcription coregulator activity and may participate in the regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II, but direct biochemical activity and physiological functions remain insufficiently characterized[4]. It is located in the extracellular space according to current annotations, and FAM48B2 is recorded as a previous symbol. The gene’s specific disease roles, drug interactions, mechanisms of action, biomarker utility, and safety issues are currently not established in available primary data.
