Overview

Translin-associated factor X-interacting protein 1 (TSNAXIP1) is a cytoplasmic adaptor/scaffold protein encoded on human chromosome 16q22.1 and is highly expressed in testicular tissue. Its main known biological roles are in spermatogenesis and cell differentiation, but its precise function in cellular signaling or biochemistry is not fully characterized. TSNAXIP1 is not recognized as a classic therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, ion channel, or transporter, but genetic evidence links it to male fertility and possibly some cancer contexts. There is no evidence it is directly targeted by therapeutics or used as a diagnostic or prognostic biomarker[1][5][7][9][10].
