Target intelligence / Profile preview
Translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 17B pseudogene 1 (TIMM17BP1) is a human gene annotated by the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee (HGNC) as a pseudogene. It is not transcribed or translated into a functional protein, and there is no evidence of its involvement in cellular processes or disease pathology. While it shares a name with the active TIMM17B gene involved in mitochondrial protein import, TIMM17BP1 itself does not encode a functional protein and should not be confused with therapeutically relevant targets or receptors[1][7][9].
