The extent of leaflet coaptation (and any 'coaptation gap') is an anatomical and diagnostic feature important for characterizing the severity of tricuspid regurgitation and for patient selection and procedural guidance in interventions such as tricuspid edge-to-edge repair (TEER)[1][2][3]. It is not a molecule, protein, or receptor, and thus is not a conventional therapeutic molecular target.
