tRNA (guanine(10)-N2)-methyltransferase TRMT11 (abbreviated as TRMT11) is an enzyme that catalyzes the S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent N(2)-methylation of the guanosine nucleotide at position 10 (m2G10) in tRNA molecules. This methylation is a post-transcriptional modification essential for proper tRNA stability and function[2][4][7]. TRMT11 functions as part of a methyltransferase complex with TRM112 and is localized predominantly in mitochondria[2][4][6]. Alteration of its activity has been associated with Combined Oxidative Phosphorylation Deficiency 7, implicating it in mitochondrial disorders[2][6]. No direct drugs, biomarkers, or major safety concerns have been reported for this target as of current sources.
