Target intelligence / Profile preview
Trophoblast antigen 2/TROP2 is a membrane glycoprotein highly expressed across many epithelial cancers but limitedly present in normal adult tissues outside certain epithelia. It functions through multiple oncogenic pathways influencing proliferation/invasion/self-renewal. Its clinical importance lies both as a diagnostic biomarker by immunohistochemistry and as an actionable therapeutic target for antibody-drug conjugate therapies like sacituzumab govitecan.
Antibody-drug conjugate targeting TROP2, delivering a cytotoxic payload to TROP2-expressing cells.
