Overview
Trophoblast cell surface protein 2 (TROP-2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in calcium signaling and regulation of cell growth, motility, and self-renewal. It is overexpressed in many epithelial cancers and serves as a therapeutic target for antibody-drug conjugates like sacituzumab govitecan. Its expression is also a biomarker for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment selection.
