There are no current drugs or clinical therapies that target TSHR-AS1, and its function is not as well characterized as protein-coding genes. Do not confuse TSHR-AS1 (a non-coding RNA) with TSHR (thyroid stimulating hormone receptor), which is a well-characterized G protein–coupled receptor and drug target in thyroid disorders such as Graves’ disease and hypothyroidism[4].
