Overview

TSSK6-activating co-chaperone protein (TSACC) is a cytoplasmic protein that serves as a co-chaperone, directly binding to both HSP70 and TSSK6, and associates with HSP90[4][1][3]. TSACC selectively facilitates HSP90-mediated activation of the testis-specific serine/threonine kinase TSSK6 (also known as SSTK), playing a key role in the stabilization, folding, and activation of TSSK6 during spermiogenesis[1][2][4]. This function is thought to be specific for post-meiotic male germ cells, where correct activation of TSSK6 is essential for male fertility in mammals[1]. There is no clear evidence that TSACC serves as a direct therapeutic target, nor is it currently associated with any known drug interactions, biomarker status, or specific safety risks.
