TTC7B antisense RNA 3 (TTC7B-AS3) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed antisense to the TTC7B (Tetratricopeptide Repeat Domain 7B) gene locus[1]. Antisense RNAs such as TTC7B-AS3 typically function by regulating the expression of neighboring protein-coding genes, in this case potentially modulating the transcription or stability of TTC7B mRNA[3]. These RNAs generally do not encode for proteins themselves and are not therapeutic targets like receptors, enzymes, or transporters. While TTC7B (the sense gene) is linked to cancer prognosis and immune infiltration[2][4], the specific clinical or therapeutic relevance of TTC7B-AS3 is unknown.
