Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tubulin alpha chain-like 3 (TUBAL3) is a predicted protein in humans that belongs to the tubulin superfamily, playing a role as a structural constituent of the cytoskeleton. It is implicated in microtubule organization and participation in the mitotic cell cycle, presumed to function through GTP binding and polymerization into microtubules[1]. While related to key processes such as cell division and intracellular transport attributed broadly to tubulins, TUBAL3 itself has not been characterized as a direct pharmacological target, and its disease associations are currently limited to correlative findings in superficial urinary bladder cancer and Alzheimer's disease[1].
