Tubulin beta-3 chain (TUBB3) is a member of the tubulin family primarily found in neurons and testis cells. It forms heterodimers with alpha-tubulin to assemble into microtubules, essential for axon guidance, maintenance, and neuronal differentiation. Aberrant expression, especially overexpression, is linked to drug resistance and aggressive behavior in various cancers.
