Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tubulin beta 8 class VIII pseudogene 11 (TUBB8P11) is a *pseudogene* related to the beta-tubulin family of genes, specifically to functional genes such as TUBB8, which encodes the primary beta-tubulin subunit in oocytes and early embryos[5]. As a pseudogene, TUBB8P11 does not produce a functional protein and is generally not transcribed or translated into a biologically active product. Pseudogenes may arise by duplication or retrotransposition of functional parental genes, followed by mutations that disrupt gene function. TUBB8P11 is recognized in the genome reference and gene nomenclature databases as a noncoding locus with no known biological, disease, or pharmacological role[3][6][7].
