Overview

Tubulin polymerization promoting protein family member 2 (TPPP2) is a cytosolic protein that enables tubulin binding and is involved in the regulation of microtubule dynamics, specifically required for the motility of flagellated sperm. Unlike some other members of the TPPP family, TPPP2 does not exhibit microtubule bundling activity. Expression is primarily observed in testicular tissues, with functional links to sperm function and male fertility. Mutations or dysregulation of TPPP2 have been associated with male infertility and Crest syndrome[2][3].
