Overview

Tubulin polymerization-promoting protein family member 3 (TPPP3) is an intrinsically unstructured protein that regulates microtubule dynamics with demonstrated microtubule bundling activity. It is required for proper embryo implantation, likely through its role in organizing the cytoskeleton. In developmental contexts, TPPP3 serves as a specific biomarker for differentiating tendon sheath and forming synovial joints, where it marks connective tissue progenitors and is involved in tissue demarcation processes during embryogenesis. There is currently no evidence supporting TPPP3 as a direct therapeutic target or as being targeted by any drugs.
