A tumor antigen-specific T-cell receptor is a heterodimeric protein complex found on the surface of T lymphocytes that enables these immune cells to recognize and respond to specific antigens presented by tumor cells. These receptors are engineered or naturally selected for their ability to bind peptides derived from tumor-associated or tumor-specific antigens, which are displayed on major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules on the surface of cancer cells.
