Target intelligence / Profile preview

Tumor-associated antigen encoded by CircFAM53B (CircFAM53B-219aa)

Target
CircFAM53B-219aa
Molecular classification
Tumor-associated antigen, Peptide, Noncanonically translated protein
01

Overview

CircFAM53B–219aa represents a newly discovered cryptic tumor-associated antigen derived from circular RNA translation. It elicits potent anti-tumor immune responses through presentation on MHC molecules, correlates clinically with favorable immune infiltration and prognosis, and forms the basis for emerging immunotherapeutic strategies such as DC vaccines targeting HER2-negative advanced breast cancer.

Mechanism of action

The CircFAM53B-219aa derived peptide is presented on HLA class I molecules and primes naive CD4+ and CD8+ T cells to induce anti-tumor immune responses. Dendritic cell vaccine pulsed with the peptide activates antigen-specific T cell responses.
