Dendritic cells (DCs) are professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs) crucial for initiating anti-tumor immune responses. They capture, process, and present tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) to T lymphocytes, stimulating cytotoxic T cell responses. Key mechanisms include direct presentation, cross-presentation (especially by cDC1 DCs), and cross-dressing.
