Overview

CanAg is a tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen that represents a novel glycoform of the mucin protein MUC1. It is a type I transmembrane protein highly expressed on the surface of many solid tumor cells, including pancreatic, biliary, and colorectal cancers. Due to its overexpression in tumors and limited expression in normal tissues, it is a target for cancer immunotherapy approaches such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and a diagnostic marker.
