A tumor-associated peptide antigen presented on HLA-A2 refers to a short peptide (typically 9–11 amino acids) derived from proteins that are abnormally expressed or mutated in tumor cells. These peptides are processed intracellularly and loaded onto the major histocompatibility complex class I molecule, specifically the human leukocyte antigen A2 (HLA-A2), for presentation on the cell surface. This complex is recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), enabling immune targeting of cancer cells.
