Tumor Cell Direct Lysis

Molecular classification
Cellular process, Immune mechanism
01

Overview

Direct tumor cell lysis refers to the process by which immune cells directly kill tumor cells without requiring additional cellular mechanisms. This phenomenon is a critical component of the body's natural defense against cancer and is also leveraged in various immunotherapeutic approaches. It involves mechanisms such as antibody-mediated cytotoxicity, NK cell-mediated lysis, and NKT cell-mediated lysis, all contributing to the direct elimination of tumor cells.
