Target intelligence / Profile preview
A tumor cell surface antigen is any molecule or protein expressed on the surface of tumor cells that can be recognized by the immune system. These antigens are either unique to cancer cells (tumor-specific antigens, TSAs) or are present at much higher levels on cancer cells compared to normal tissues (tumor-associated antigens, TAAs). They serve as markers for distinguishing tumor cells from healthy tissue and can trigger an immune response, making them key targets for immunotherapies.
Binding to target antigen, immune cell activation, tumor cell lysis, signal transduction blockade
