Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 15 (TNFSF15)

Target
TNFSF15
Molecular classification
Cytokine, Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily
01

Overview

Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 15 (TNFSF15), also known as TL1A and VEGI, is a cytokine primarily expressed in endothelial cells. It exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms and is inducible by pro-inflammatory cytokines. TNFSF15 functions include activation of NF-kappa-B and MAPK signaling, inhibition of angiogenesis, induction of apoptosis, modulation of epithelial cell proliferation, macrophage polarization, and T-cell activation. It plays a significant role in immune responses and is associated with inflammatory bowel disease and systemic lupus erythematosus.
