Tumor necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) is a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It primarily signals through its receptor, fibroblast growth factor-inducible 14 (Fn14), regulating diverse cellular processes, including cell survival, apoptosis, angiogenesis, migration, and inflammation. The TWEAK/Fn14 axis is implicated in neurodegeneration, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, cancer, and inflammation.
