Overview
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 13C (TNFRSF13C), also known as BAFF-R, is the principal receptor for B-cell activating factor (BAFF). It is a type III transmembrane protein essential for B cell maturation and survival. It selectively binds to BAFF, promoting survival signals in mature B cells. Mutations or deficiencies in this gene are associated with immunodeficiency disorders.
