Overview

Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 3 (TNFRSF3), also known as lymphotoxin beta receptor (LTβR), is a cell surface transmembrane protein that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It primarily functions as a receptor for the heterotrimeric lymphotoxin complex containing lymphotoxin-alpha and lymphotoxin-beta, as well as for the ligand LIGHT/TNFSF14. LTβR is essential for the development and organization of secondary lymphoid organs and plays a role in apoptosis, cytokine release, and hepatic diseases.
