Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 9 (TNFRSF9), also known as 4-1BB or CD137, is a co-stimulatory immune checkpoint molecule expressed on activated T cells and other immune cells. It plays a critical role in regulating T cell responses, including clonal expansion, survival, and cytokine production. Agonistic antibodies targeting 4-1BB are under clinical investigation as cancer immunotherapies to enhance anti-tumor immunity.
