Tumor Neoantigen-Specific T Cells

Molecular classification
Immune cell, T lymphocyte, CD8+ T cell, CD4+ T cell
01

Overview

Tumor neoantigen-specific T cells are a subset of T lymphocytes that recognize and respond to neoantigens—novel peptide sequences generated by tumor-specific mutations. These neoantigens are not present in normal tissues, making them highly immunogenic and ideal targets for cancer immunotherapy. Both CD8+ (cytotoxic) and CD4+ (helper) T cells can be specific for tumor neoantigens, mediating direct tumor cell killing or supporting antitumor immune responses.
