TP53 mRNA is the messenger RNA transcript produced from the human TP53 gene, which encodes the tumor suppressor protein p53. This gene and its product play a central role in regulating cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, DNA repair, and genomic stability. Delivery of exogenous wild-type TP53 mRNA into cancer cells lacking functional endogenous p53 induces dose-dependent cytotoxicity via apoptosis/cell cycle arrest.
