Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tumor-tropic neural stem cell (NSC) delivery vehicles are engineered or naturally occurring neural stem cells that possess the ability to home in on tumor sites. These NSCs are genetically modified to deliver therapeutic agents directly to tumor foci, maximizing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing off-target effects. The platform allows insertion of various therapeutic genes tailored for specific diseases.
NSCs migrate towards tumors due to chemotactic signals, integrate into the tumor microenvironment, and release/express therapeutic payloads (e.g., cytotoxic proteins, prodrug-converting enzymes, gene therapy constructs) locally within the tumor.
