Tumour Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 14 (TNFSF14)

Target
TNFSF14
Molecular classification
Cytokine, Tumor Necrosis Factor Superfamily Ligand
01

Overview

Tumour necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 14 (TNFSF14), commonly known as LIGHT, is a secreted cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It plays a significant role in immune regulation and inflammation. It can deliver costimulatory signals to T cells, leading to their proliferation and interferon-gamma production. TNFSF14 has been explored as an immunotherapeutic target for cancer due to its ability to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Its involvement in inflammatory diseases makes it relevant for research into autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease, fibrosis, and cancer.
