TXNDC11 Antisense RNA 1 (TXNDC11-AS1) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located antisense to the TXNDC11 protein-coding gene. Identified in genome annotation sources and referenced in transcriptomic studies, TXNDC11-AS1 is part of the lncRNA class and is presumed to regulate TXNDC11 expression at the RNA level, possibly by mechanisms typical for antisense RNAs such as interfering with mRNA transport or stabilizing mRNA. However, no specific biological functions, disease roles, or drug interactions have been validated for TXNDC11-AS1 as of 2024. All disease associations in the literature currently refer to the protein-coding gene TXNDC11, not its antisense RNA.
