Target intelligence / Profile preview
FGFR3 is a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates cellular responses to fibroblast growth factors (FGFs). It plays a critical role in bone development, cell proliferation, and differentiation. Gain-of-function mutations are associated with skeletal dysplasias like achondroplasia and certain cancers. Upon ligand binding and dimerization, FGFR3 activates intracellular signaling pathways such as JAK/STAT and PI3K/AKT.
