Target intelligence / Profile preview
Type I Interleukin 1 receptor (IL-1RI) is a transmembrane receptor that binds to IL-1α and IL-1β, initiating the IL-1 signaling pathway. Upon ligand binding, IL-1RI recruits IL-1RAcP to form a signaling complex, triggering downstream signaling cascades that regulate inflammation and immune responses.
Ligand binding to IL-1RI initiates a signaling cascade via recruitment of IL-1RAcP and adaptor proteins, ultimately leading to activation of NF-κB and MAPK pathways and altered gene expression.
