Overview

Tyrosine-protein kinase HCK (Hck) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the Src family. It plays a central role in immune cell signaling, particularly within hematopoietic cells. Hck transmits signals from cell surface receptors to regulate innate immune responses, actin cytoskeleton reorganization, and other cellular processes. Overactivation or loss of regulation can lead to excessive myeloid migration/effector functions, contributing to diseases like severe pneumonia, vasculitis, and cancer.
