Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tyrosine-protein kinase Lyn (Lyn) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase and a member of the Src family of protein tyrosine kinases. It plays critical roles in various immune cell types and is involved in both innate and adaptive immunity, hematopoiesis, and responses to growth factors or cytokines. Lyn can function either as an activator or inhibitor within signaling cascades, making it a crucial regulator of immune cell responses. Altered Lyn activity has been implicated in autoimmune diseases and hematologic malignancies.
