UBA6 divergent transcript (UBA6-DT, also known as UBA6-AS1 and LOC550112) is a long non-coding RNA located on chromosome 4 (chr4:67700955–68080952, hg38), transcribed in the antisense direction relative to the UBA6 gene. It is predicted to be involved in RNA processing and localizes to the nucleolus. Experimental evidence suggests UBA6-DT plays a role in cellular stress responses, particularly regulating the integrated stress response (ISR) and promoting cell survival under metabolic stress, as observed in triple-negative breast cancer models. While there are disease associations with ovarian and colorectal cancers, and functional data supporting a role in cancer cell survival, there is currently no evidence that it is a direct drug target, interacts with clinical therapeutics, or is used as a biomarker.
