Overview

UBX domain protein 11 (UBXN11) is a member of the UBX domain-containing protein family, functioning as a cytoskeletal organizer and scaffold for signal transduction. It interacts with Rnd subfamily Rho GTPases and heterotrimeric G proteins, promoting activation of RhoA and modulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics. UBXN11 also activates the NF-κB pathway, contributing to colorectal cancer cell proliferation and tumor progression. This protein is emerging as a prognostic biomarker and potential immunomodulatory agent in colorectal cancer, with possible roles as a tumor antigen (COA-1). While the therapeutic targetability of UBXN11 is under investigation, its broad involvement in cytoskeletal regulation, signaling, and cancer biology suggests significant translational interest
